FAO Schwarz Glam RC Car — 2023

Working together with the MerchSource Design Team, we created an RC car with fashionista flare. We designed over an existing chassis and developed custom wheels, rims, and a body that integrated quickly into existing production pipeline. Exploring in 3D, we developed several concepts, searching for a form that was referential to luxury vehicles but not expressly identifiable. For ease of manufacturing, we also ensured that the body was draftable with simple injection molding that did not require any special action in the tool. Fun features on the body include interchangeable vanity plates, embossed fashion print, and expressive decals.
